Cargotec has entered into an agreement to acquire terminal operator systems (TOS) provider Navis from Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA) in the United States. The transaction value is approximately USD 190 million (approximately EUR 140 million). Cargotec Corporation has signed a EUR 300 million five-year revolving credit facility with a syndicate of four banks. It replaces a EUR 300 million facility maturing in May 2012, which is currently undrawn. Cargotec has received a significant order from long-time Colombian customer Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena for two Kalmar ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and 24 Kalmar rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes. Cargotec has received another order from Parsec, Inc, this time for 150 Kalmar terminal tractors. The long-time customer of Kalmar equipment will use the machines to supplement its expanding rail operations in North America.
