By the Southern Canal Dock in the inner port of Zeebrugge, a ceremony was held yesterday for the start of the construction of a new 1,071 meter quay wall, an extension of the existing Bastenaken quay. This quay wall is the final missing piece that will connect the Bastenaken quay with the reverse quay at the dock's end, where International Car Operators Zeebrugge is located. When this project is finished, the largest dock in het port of Zeebrugge will be completed.

Qatar Petroleum books the full LNG regasification capacity of Zeebrugge LNG terminal in Belgium up to 2044

Thu Sep 05 10:15:22 CEST 2019 arnekiel

Affiliates of Qatar Petroleum and the Belgian independent natural gas transport company Fluxys Belgium signed a long-term agreement for LNG unloading services at the Zeebrugge LNG Terminal. Under the agreement, Qatar Terminal Limited (QTL) -a subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum- will subscribe to the full capacity at the terminal from the expiry of the existing long-term unloading contracts and up to 2044. The transaction follows a competitive evaluation process as well as the approval of the Belgian regulators. QTL is already a party to an existing agreement under which approximately 50% of the terminal’s capacity is utilized for delivery of Qatari LNG into Belgium under long-term LNG agreements.

Increased capacity on the Zeebrugge-Göteborg Service

Mon Feb 18 19:41:11 CET 2019 arnekiel

Complimentary to the introduction of four (4) sailings per week between Zeebrugge and Göteborg – since January 2018 – we are pleased to inform you about the next step in our strategy in order to upgrade the service level towards our customers, offering frequent and reliable ferry crossings. As from 24 February 2019 onwards, CLdN ro-ro will deploy a larger vessel on the Göteborg trade. By introducing M/V CATHERINE, one of our CONRO class vessels, which are extremely suitable to accommodate trailers and containers, the total capacity on the trade will be increased by a further 20%. The introduction of m/v CATHERINE links perfectly in with CLdN’s long-term strategy to continue deploying larger vessels on the trade.
