Container ship listing in Kiel Canal lock
On Sep 8, 2019, around 6 p.m. the ‘Atlantic Coast' , which had sailed from Hamburg at 3 p.m., bound to St. Petersburg, entered the New Southern Lock of the Kiel Canal with a list. After transiting the lock the ship was ordered to moor at the railway station pilings in the canal port of Brunsbüttel for inspections. When the stability issue was resolved, the ship was released on Sep 9 and continued its eastbound transit at 8.45 a.m. with an ETA in St. Petersburg as of Sep 12 now.
