Engine failure in Kiel Canal
In the early morning of Sep 22, 2016, the "Clarity" suffered an engine failure during the westbound transit of the Kiel Canal enroute from Liepaja to Moerdijk. A work boat was able to keep the ship in position, until two tugs took the vessel in tow and moored it at the pilings in the port of Brunsbüttel. The police launched an investigation and found out that the failure was caused by trouble with the pressurized air supply. The ship was detained until repairs were carried out and continued the voyage the same evening at 9.20 p.m.
