Heavy damage on expedition ship in Antwerp

The damage caused by the fire aboard the "Commandant Fourcault" was estimated to be about 100,000 Euros, by owner Pim De Rhoodes. But the flames and smoke were too intense, and because there were gas cylinders inside the room, they did not take any risks and immediately notified the fire brigade. Fire damaged ship in Antwerp

In the night of Dec 30, 2017, a fire broke out aboard the "Commandant Fourcault" in the Kattendijk dock in Antwerp. The stern was completely gutted. The fire broke out in a compartment at the back of the ship, perhaps in a workshop under the helicoper deck, where repairs were being carried out.
