Bulkcarrier troubled on Wester Scheldt
In the afternoon of Feb 23, 2017, the "Golden Saguenay" got in trouble on the Wester Scheldt at the height of Terneuzen in the raging storm. The bulk carrier was anchored in the Put of Terneuzen anchor when it went adrift. The tugs "Hendrik 7", "Multrasalvor 3", "Multratug 9", "Multratug 22", "Union 5", "Union 6" and "Vebo Runner" were deployed to secure the ship. The operation lasted until the evening. On Feb 24 at 5 a.m. the ship which had sailed from Dunkirk on Feb 22, berthed at a quay of the Terneuzen-Gent Sea Canal in Gent.
