Engine repairs completed
After the 'Greta' suffered an engine failure off Ambarl on March 9, 2022, a dtailed damage survey was carried out by class surveyor along with owners superintendent. Subsequently, repairs have commenced by shore based technical teams, in regards to the class surveyor's recommendations. A new set of spare parts was provided by the owners, and the repairs were completed on March 28. Sea trials were carried out under the supervision of a class surveyor with satisfactorily result. A new set of trading certificates was issued by the attending classification society and the flag state authority. The departure permission was issued by the Harbour Master, and the vessel berthed at the container terminal in Ambarli/Istanbul on April 1 at around 3 a.m. On April 2 the ship left the port en route to Novorossyisk with an ETA as of April 5.
Disabled vessel towed to Tuzla
The 'Greta' suffered an engine failure off Ambarli on March 9, 2022. As the crew could not carry out repairs, the tug 'Dilburnu' (IMO: 7704227) was deployed to assist. After the Harbour Master issued the towage approval, the towage operation commenced in the morning of March 15. The convoy arrived at Tuzla anchorage at 3 p.m., and the vessel will enter the shipyard upon completion of formalities. As of March 16, it remained moored in pos. 40° 50.48' N 029° 14.00' E.
Repairs to be carried out in Avonmouth
The "Greta" was assisted into Avonmouth on Feb 6 at 11 a.m. by a Svitzer tug in order to effect repairs there. She had sailed from Pembroke on Feb 5 at 4.30 p.m.
