Delivered to breakers in Haarlem

Fri Jan 07 12:13:46 CET 2022 Timsen

The decommissioned 'Hunter II' was pushed to the Treffers breakers in Haarlem on Jan 4, 2022, for recycling by the tug 'Paula' (244740913).

Heart attack was in fact sea sickness

Wed Nov 13 09:40:03 CET 2013 Timsen

On Nov 4 at 8:29 p.m. the KNRM station Eemshaven was alerted after a man suffered heart problems onboard the "Hunter" which was underway to Borkum. The "Jan Visser en Titia" was dispatched and in a conference call with the radio medical service and the Coastguard Centre Den Helder a medevac advised. The guard ship was in position 53° 43,1 N om 006° 43,6 E. When the lifeboat left Eemshaven, it received an update of the position which was already heading for Eemshaven way and was in the Riffgat now. Due to the rough seas around the Riffgat it was impossible to disembark the patient, and it was decided to leave him o9n board under these circumstances and proceed to the Wester Ems instead, where the water was calm and the lifeboat could come alongside and take on board the Dutchman. He was delivered to an ambulance in Eemshaven where it was found out that the man did not have a heart attack as though but he was simply seasick.
