Collision off Haugesund
The "Karm Frøya" was in collison with the fish carrier "Ingunn", a new building for the Moen Marin A/S which had just been completed in Kristiansand, in the evening of Nov 19, 2015, at 7.1^0 p.m. north of Torvastad, Haugesund. The Norwegian catamaran suffered some damage, damage to the "Karm Frøya" was minimal. The cause of the collision was that a third boat passed the southbound "Ingunn" which meant that northbound "Karm Frøya" had to change course to avoid a collision with the third vessel but came in collision course with the "Ingunn." The third vessel disappeared. The lifeboat "Kristian G. Jebsen" was called to send divers down and investigate the hull of both ships below the waterline. For this purpose they proceeded to the Garpaskjærs Quay in Storasund with onw power.
