Pilot boat damaged in collision with tanker
On Dec 10, 2012, short past midnight the Dutch tank m/v "Star Bonaire" (IMO: 9148453) was in collision with the bilot boat "Lotse 1" in the port of Hamburg off the Rüschpark. The "Lotse 12" had taken the port pilot to the "Star Bonaire". While moving away again, the ships touched each other. The tanker suffered a dent and scatches in the bow region. It berthed in basin 3 of the seaport Harburg at 1.30 a.m., leaving bound for Rotterdam around 6 p.m. The "Lotse 1" was taken out of service and surveyed in the Reiherstieg Yard in the foremidday, where the rudder was found to be dented and the Propeller damaged. Also the ship had suffered a gash in the water line. The police launched an investigation and secured the Radar data in the Nautical Center therefore
