In the morning of Jan 25 the „Neptunus“ ran onto a dam off Hansweert. Rijkswaterstaat was on scene with the "Maeslant“ and came jointly with salvagers to the conclusion, that the vessel could not be refloated before the next high tide around 7 p.m. The foreship of the unlaoded vessel was high and dry.
