Wreck of Repulsee located
Two weeks after the sinking of the "Repunte", the Argentine Naval Prefecture found the wreck on July 1 about 16 miles off the coast of Rawson in a depth of 53 meters. Rescuers were pessimistic about the chances of finding one of the seven crewmen missing inside the ship. The forces had deployed the "SB-15 - Tango" of the Coastguard, equipped with a ROV. Next, divers will descend to the wreck using a diving bell and the ROV. According to the testimony of the survivors all crew had left the ship, so there are few chances to find any of the seven missing inside. The Coast guard boats "La Plata", "Río Paraná", "Martín García" and "Thompson" continued to operate in the area, supported by an aircarft, a helicopter, semirigid boats, divers and shore patrols from the Prefecture on the beaches between Punta Ninfas and Punta León. Also the fishing vessels "Patagonia", "Mara I", "Lunes Santo" and "Sfida" continued to keep lookout in the search area.
