Cargo ship disabled in Bosphorus
The 'River Elbe', enroute from Novorossyisk to Dover, suffered an engine malfunction while she was transiting the Bosphorus on April 1, 2021, at 10.45 a.m. and started to drift. Engine trouble in Bosphorus

Technical failure in Canakkale Strait
The 'River Elbe', while en route from Varna to Gemlik, suffered a technical failure during its transit through the Istanbul Strait, and moored at the Büyükdere anchorage on July 31, 2020, at 6 a.m. The crew carried out repair works, and the ship anchored off Gemlik in pos. 40° 25.90' N 029° 7.57' E on Aug 2 at 2.35 p.m.
