Ferry troubled again
Due to technical problems the ferry service of the "Sunnfjord" on the route Rutledal - Rysjedalsvika - Krakhella in Ytre Sogn was suspended on Jan 31, 2014. At 6:30 a cooling pump had started to smoke. Passengers were recommended to head to the ferry service Lavik-Oppedal. This happened only about one week after the ferry had suffered engine failure and had to be taken in tow by an ambulance boat. There has been no information about why the ferry was so frequently out of service. A passenger boat was inserted on 8 a.m., a replacement ferry at noon on the earliest.
