Grounding on the Rhine at Colonia
On Nov 12, 2018, at 11.45 p.m. the "Tanja Deymann 1", 1644 ts (EU-No.: 02333403), jointly with the pushed barge "Tanja Deymann 2", 1615 ts (EU-No.: 02333404), ran aground at the edge of the fairway while sailing southbound on the Rhine at river km 687,5 in Colonia en route from Duibsurg to Mertert with a cargo of 1.200 tons diesel. The accident was caused by the low water level of the river which was only one meter in Colonia. The ship was unable to refloat with own power. No leaks, no pollution reported. The "Tanja Deymann 2" was losened in the foremidday of Nov 13. The "Tanja Deymann 1" was refloated by the barge "Avalon" at 10.50 a.m. The Rhine was closed at the salvage site for shipping for two hours, nine ships were affected. Tank barge sailing again after repairs

Wheelhouse crushed in allision
Near the village of Schweich on the Moselle, the "Tanja Deymann 1", 1644 ts (EU-No.: 02333403), allided with the middle arch of the road bridge over the river on Oct 17, 2016. The tank barge with a pusher unit veered off course during the passage of the middle bridge yoke and hit it with the port side of the wheelhouse. The roof of the wheelhouse was demolished completely. The captain and his wife, who were inside the wheelhouse at the time of the accident, were able to find shelter behind the faucets in time so they were not injured by glass splinters and debris. The water and shipping office in Trier detained the barge for the time being. The stability of the road bridge was not affected by the impact according to the first findings. The damage was estimated to be around 100,000 Euro.
