Faulty fuel pump off Start Point
The 'Zuidvliet', en route from Antwerp to Laurium with seven crew members on board, suffered a faulty fuel pump in position 49 48 40 N, 003 23 40 W, about 31 miles south off Start Point on March 10, 2022, at 4.10 a.m. The main engine was stopped to replace the fuel pump. the repair works were estimated to take a maximum of three hours. The ship resumed its voyage at 6.40 a.m. with an ETA as of March 20.
Russian Coastguard detained ship
The "Zuidvliet" was detained by the Russian Coast Guard in the Azov Sea on July 24, 2018, at 08.30 a.m. The ship was en route from Constanta to Mariupol. It was allowed to resume the voyage two hours later. Prior to that, the ship was refused to transit the Kerch Strait, having to wait for permission for some 24 hours. No reason for the detention was given.
