Fugro Data Solutions Limited is continuing its support to the E&P Industry with the provision of promotional services to the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) – India, for the NELP IX Licence Round which is officially launched today in Mumbai. Fugro has been appointed as Marketing Consultant, providing data rooms and web-based services to the DGH to assist with the promotion of the Licensing Round. Fugro-Geoteam is proud to announce the successful completion of a large 3D survey, offshore Alaska in the Chukchi Sea. The project was conducted for Statoil E&P USA Inc., by the ''M/V Geo Celtic'', during the relatively brief ice-free season, and resulted in the recording of over 2600 square kilometers in 40 days. This high level of production combined with minimal loss of time, zero infill and no environmental incidents, was the result of extensive planning, preparation, and close-cooperation between all parties. Evergreen Line has announced the implementation of Hong Kong's "Fair Winds Charter" (Voluntary Clean Fuels Initiative for ocean-going vessels calling at Hong Kong) and the Port of New York/New Jersey's "Ocean-Going Vessel Low-Sulfur Fuel Program" pursuing greater sustainability in international transportation industry. The Hong Kong Liner Shipping Association (HKLSA) has adopted a voluntary program effective from November 01, 2010 to encourage vessels to consume low sulfur fuel with no more than 0.1% sulfur content while at berth in Hong Kong to help the port reduce air pollution. Other commitments, including collaborating with the local government in regulating the use of low sulfur fuel in the Pearl River Delta region by December 31, 2012 will also be implemented. NYK launched the Chinese Pilots Training Program in cooperation with the China Maritime Pilots’ Association (CMPA). For CMPA, it’s the first training program to be conducted on Japanese carriers. This cooperation was organized and supported by the Ministry of Transport (MOT) of China. The joint program aims to provide Chinese pilots the chance to closely observe pilot operations at major international ports and further enrich their maritime and pilot-operation experiences through related training courses. Based on the operational performance in the third quarter and particularly in September, Cargotec's visibility on the timing and profitability of deliveries during the remainder of the year has increased. As a result Cargotec specifies upwards its operating profit guidance. Operating profit for 2010 is estimated to be in the range of EUR 120-130 million. Earlier operating profit was estimated to exceed EUR 100 million. Both the previous and now specified operating profit guidance includes one-time restructuring costs. COSCO is planning on developing the yard into a “mega” shipyard capable of large-scale shipbuilding, repair and conversion projects including VLCC repairs and offshore blocks fabrication. With over 4,500 metres of coastline and a land area of over 2,000,000m2, the yard’s facilities include three dry-docks ranging from 80,000 to 300,000DWT in capacity. Mercon Steel Structures B.V. has signed a framework agreement with Shell U.K. Limited and the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij B.V. (NAM) for the construction and installation of Riser Access Towers (RAT). The framework agreement encompasses the call off of one and possibly up to nine RAT’s. These monopile platforms will be used in combination with subsea trees and existing production platforms to develop Shell and NAM’s smaller gas fields on the UKCS and Dutch part of the North Sea.
