Recent News Suez Canal workers protests nearing fourth week
The failure in negotiations between the Suez Canal Authority and local workers yesterday was blamed on the absence of Mohab Mamish, the head of the authority. Mamish had been the focus of an ugly clash last week as protesters surrounded his car. Protests continued for the seventeenth day in a row, with a subcontractor firm demanding reinstatement.
