Ship drifted off Ajman

Sat Feb 09 18:15:25 CET 2019 Timsen

On Feb 6, 2019, the anchor chain of the "Abdallah" broke at 8 a.m. at the Ajman anchorage in the Persian Gulf and the ship went adrift, being in danger of slamming into other nearby ships. The crew had no control, as there was no diesel on board to start the engine. The crew has been on board since several months, as the owner Elite Way Marine did not operate it, but they were not given sign off. Their ship was finally taken in tow and secured back at the anchorage.
