Engine trouble off Ireland

The 'Aila', while enroute from Dunkirk to Dublin with 7.360 tonnes of containers and 11 crew members on board, suffered an exhaust leak and lost propulsion in position 50 32 30 N, 000 27 54W, on March 19, 2021, at 5.15 p.m. Repairs were completed at 6 p.m., and the vessel continued its voyage to Dublin where it arrived on March 21 at 12.50 a.m.

Engine trouble off St. Catherines Point

The 'Aila', while en route from Dunkirk to Rotterdam with 10 crew members on board, needed to replace a main engine component in position 50 17 54.0 N, 001 34 32.0 W, 22.5 nautical miles South-West of St. Catherines Point on Nov 20, 2020, at 7.07 a.m. The defect was rectified by the crew, and the vessel resumed its voyage and berthed at the RST Short Sea Container Termnial South on Nov 21 at 10.45 a.m.
