Technical failure in Canakkale Strait
The 'Aleksandr Lebed', en route from Gulluk to Rostov on Don, suffered a technical failure during the passage of the Canakkale Strait and returned to the Bozcaada anchorage on July 19, 2021, at 8.45 p.m. Repairs were started by the crew, and the ship resumed its voyage with an ETA as of July 27.
Three ships slightly damaged in allision.
On Apr 18, 2017, the "M. Andreev" (IMO: 8946377) suffered steering failure at 03.30 a.m. while transiting Anchorage 1 at Azov Port. The vessel which was loaded with wheat slammed into the portside bow of the anchored "Aleksandr Lebed"(IMO: 8866826) and bulbous nose of the berthed "Rusich 2" (IMO: 9317016). All three vessels suffered slight damages. The "M. Andreev" was moored on Anchorage 1.
