In the night of Feb 27, 201,, the "Alsace" ran aground jointly with the "Hollande" (EU-No.: 02329039 ) on the Rhine near Karlsruhe, river-km 358. The vessels got stuck on a groyne at the "Karlsruhe Ground". The work boat "Gottfried Tulla secured the grounding site near the beach bath Rappenwört. The captain obviously fell asleep.
