propulsion control malfunction off Quebec

The 'Andean' suffered a propulsion control malfunction in position 46 48 342 N, 71 12 02 W, off Quebec on Nov 17, 2021, at 11 a.m. The crew carried out repairs which allowed the vessel to resume its voyage from Quebec to Montreal, where it arrived on Nov 18.

Engine trouble in Québec

The 'Andean' was disabled during the berthing manoever at section 104 of the Port of Québec in Québec on Aug 18, 2021, at 2.50 p.m., due to engine trouble. The ship had the assistance of two tugs anda pilot. A third tug was called and aided the vessel to complete berthing maneuvers. On Aug 21 the ship left port again, headed to Montreal.

Engine overheated in ice

The "Andean" was disabled due to a main sea water system blocked by ice causing the main engine to overheat, on the Lake Saint-Pierre off Sorel, Quebec, on Feb 27, 2019, at 6.45 a.m. The vessel had to anchor in position 46 03 47.3N, 73 04 23.0W. The crew cleaned the sea water strainers, made adjustments to the cooling systems and the vessel resumed its voyage.
