The "Gas Sincerity" was in collision with the Panama flagged tank vessel "Polar" (IMO: 9299563) in the evening of Sep 15, 2010, at the Wandellar anchorage in the Wester Scheldt. The "Polar" was unloaded and about to depart from Antwerp coming from Antwerp Shiprepair, the "Gas Sincerity" was lying at anchor with a cargo of 1600 tons propylene. The "Polar" anchored at Westhinder after the collision, whereas the "Gas Sincerity" was allowed to proceed to the Braakman harbour near Terneuzen, where the ship was also destined for. Both ships suffered minor damage.
