Arrested ship auctioned and being recycled

Sat Jan 08 16:04:33 CET 2022 Timsen

The 'Boras', which was arrested by the court at Kartal, Turkey since April 13, 2016, due to unpaid bank credits together with crew wages, was sold at an auction by local judicial sale office together with harbour Master at Tuzla, Turkey on Dec 20, 2021. The vessel's re-floating operation and repairs were cancelled by the buyer company due to the high budget. Subsequently, the breaking process commenced and further permission has been granted from the environmental office. The recycling process has commenced by an appointed company at Kartal.
