Ship boarded by perpetrators

Two perpetrators boarded the 'Baltic North' during mooring operations at the Jakarta anchorage in position 005 59 30S, 106 54 12E, on june 24, 2021, at 9.35 p.m. The Duty Able Seaman noticed the perpetrators and raised the alarm. Seeing the alerted crew, the two perpetrators fled the vessel and escaped in a waiting boat with another four persons onboard. The incident was reported to the Indonesian Coast Guard who boarded the vessel for investigation. Nothing was reported stolen.

Perpetrators stole ship's stores

The duty crew of the 'Baltic North' which was moored at Jakarta anchorage, sighted two perpetrators on the poop deck with two sacks in position 06 05 50 S, 106 53 42E on March 30, 2021. They shouted and flashed lights at the perpetrators, who fled the vessel and escaped immediately. Upon investigation, it was found that the perpetrators had broken into the ship through a cut on the watertight door alarm switch wire and lock. Items from the engine room's central store were stolen.The local authorities were informed, and the Indonesian Coast Guard boarded the ship for investigation.
