Collision on Siak River

The 'Cosmic 10' was in collision with a smaller boat in the Siak River in the Riau Province on Oct 4, 2023. No injuries were reported. The incident was being investigated by the Harbour Master and the Port Authority.

Two Indonesian tankers collided on Sep 11 2011 8 nm off Pulau Tioman, S China Sea, Malaysia. Malaysian The Star wrote “MT Cendanawati, with a consignment of lubricating oil, was on its way to Sumatra from Thailand. The crew said they saw the oncoming Cosmic 10 swerving to the left to avoid their ship. However, Cosmic 10 swerved the wrong way, causing the vessels to collide. Dadi Suyadi, the captain of MT Cendanawati, sustained head and neck injuries in the collision with Cosmic 10. Nineteen other crew members escaped unhurt in the incident on Sunday.” Crew of m/t Cendanawati was rescued by Malaysian Navy, m/t Cosmic 10 resumed voyage.
