Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble

The "Tarva" had to be withdrawn from the Dybfest - Tarva route in the Bjugn municipality due to technical problems on Oct 23, 2018. The 1.30 p.m. departure and the 3.30 p.m. departure from Dybfest and the departures at 2.10 p.m. and 4.10 p.m. from Tarva had to be cancelled by the Fosen Line. A spare part should arrive in the afternoon, and it was hoped to be able to resume the service at 5:30 p.m. There were alternative services offered from Garten to Tarva.

Rope in propeller may have caused ferry accident

After the replacement ferry "Fjordbas" ran aground on Sep 21 afternoon, the passenger ship "Snarveien" was inserted as a reserve on Sep 22 on the Klokkarvik-Leroy-Bjelkarøy-Hjellestad route. The "Fjordbas" had not been turned astern while maneuvering to dock. After the accident there were found large quantities of rope in the propeller of the "Fjordbas". The talk was of a relatively thin rope, consistent with a rope from a fishing net. There were not found any technical issues. Half an hour after the accident the ferry "Lyna" was inserted as a replacement which, however, does not tranpsort cars. The "Snarveien" usually operates between Nested and Kleppestø and was serving the route until the afternoon when the afternoon. From Saturday afternoon was "Sundferja" tool over. Ferry ran aground in Sund

The "Fjordbas" ran aground in Sund in the afternoon of Dep 21, 2012. It was used as a replacement ferry for the "Sundferja" which was out of service due to a technical mishap. The vessel got stuck near the ferry quay at Bjelkerøy and ran into the quay so that there was damage to the pier and a pleasure boat. There were two passengers on board and a crew of two. All were in good condition. The lifeboat "Gerhard Jebsen" pulled the ferry off at 4.05 p.m. The ferry then went to Hjellestad, where the cars were driven off and the hull surveyed.
