Blown engine gasked otff Start Point
The 'FMT Bergama', en route from Rotterdam to Varna with 20 crew members on board, suffered a blown gasket on the engine, approximately 25 nautical miles southeast from Start Point in position 49 52 00N, 003 22 03W, on Sep 7, 2021, at 08.23 a.m. The defect was rectified by the crew within about 20 minutes and the vessel subsequently continued its voyage with an ETA as of Sep 19.
Medevac off Cabo Touriñán
On Dec 1, 2019, the Helimer 401 helicopter of Salvamento Marítimo carried out the medical evacuation of a 46-year-old Russian national of the 'FMT Bergama' 43 miles NW from Cabo Touriñán. At 10.50 a.m., the Helimer 401 landed in Alvedro where an ambulance was waiting for the patient for transfer to the hospital. The tanker was enroute from Bilbao to Sines with an ETA as of Dec 2. Tanker out of control
The "FMT Bergama" got out of control around Bebek on Aug 17, 2018. The tanker drifted towards the waterfront. The captain of the vessel veered at the last moment and the tanker sailed towards the Black Sea.
