Main engine trouble on St. Lawrence River

The 'Maria G' was disabled due to main engine issues in the St. Lawrence River in position 46 30.033 N, 72 13 09 W off Batiscan on Dec 28, 2021, at 6.10 p.m. The ship dropped anchor nearby, and the crew carried out repairs which allowed the vessel to resume its voyage from Montreal to Valletta the same day with an ETA as of Jan 12, 2022.

Engine trouble off Montreal

The 'Maria G' suffered main engine problems while anchoring in the harbour off Montreal, Quebec, on Nov 27, 2020. The sip sailed from Montreal on Dec 1, bound for Valletta, ETA Dec 16.

Bulkcarrier slammed into collision protection

In the morning of Sep 24, 2017, the "Maria G" slammed into the collision protection in lock 3 at Beauharnois. Ship traffic was suspended and the ship remained berthed inside the lock which was connecting the Beauharnois Canal with the St. Lawrence River. The unloaded bulkcarrier was enroute from from Hamilton to Baie Comeau. At least four ships, including the casualty, were berthed along the canal and its’ locks, more dropped anchor outside, awaiting the re-opening of lock 3-
