Allision or collision at Moerdijk Bridge

The 'old' Moerdijk Bridge was closed for railway traffic between Breda and Dordrecht after reports that the barge unit "Gemini", coming from Gertruidenberg, allided with one of the bridge piers in the Hollands Diep on Sep 29, 2015, at 10.30 a.m. An inspector of Rijkswaterstaat witnessed that the ship was stuck against the pillar. According to the police, which was also spot on with the patrol boat "P96", the barge crashed near the bridge, but but the construction itself was thereby not affected. The bargge was pulled free some time later. Short past noon trains were operating again after the bridge was inspected.
