Wed May 09 20:32:51 CEST 2012 Timsen

On May 9, 2012, the search was on for a missing crew member of the "Genco Rhone". The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) received the report at about 12.35 p.m. The bulk carrier was anchored four kilometres off Tanah Merah. The MPA was coordinating the SAR operation, involving two MPA and three Police Coast Guard craft. Navigational broadcasts have been issued to vessels in the vicinity to keep clear of the search and rescue area. They were also asked to report any sighting of the missing person. The Police Coast Guard was investigating the incident.
