Repairs in Tuzla underway

The 'Gulf', which had suffered an engine failure at Gabes on Jan 28, 2022, and was towe to Tuzla on Feb 15 for repairs, got a new set of spare parts provided by the owners from an authorized manufacturer. Inner, bottom and external section steel measurements were taken by an appointed survey company. The steel replacement commenced from diminutive locations. The repairs were still under way as of April 16.

Repairs in Tuzla underway

After the 'Gulf', which had suffered an engine failure at Gabes on Jan 28, arrived in Tuzla under tow of the 'Sea Buffalo' and entered the shipyard upon completion of formalities on Feb 15, a class surveyor, along with the owner's superintendent carried out detailed damage survey to ascertain the cause of damage and the repairs needed. Subsequently, shipyard technical teams have commenced the repairs as per class surveyor's recommendations. The vessel remained stationary at Tuzla as of March 8.

Disabled vessel under tow to Tuzla

The 'Gulf' suffered an engine failure at Gabes on Jan 28, 2022. After repair works could not be carried out by the crew. the tug 'Sea Buffalo' (IMO: 7719686) was appointed to tow the vessel to Tuzla for repairs. The towage operation has commenced on Feb 1 with an ETA at Tuzla as of Feb 10.
