Crane ship raised sunken cabin boat - no trace of its crew of two
On Nov 28, 2015, the "Hebo Cat 15" salvaged a 11-m-motorboat of a couple from Randstad which had disappeared in the Ijssel Sea near Lemmer one day before. The buccaneer was en route from Lelystad to Lemmer when it disappeared from the Radar in the view of the harbor. On board were the owner who bought the boat from the rental Centerpoint Charters Sneek with an acquaintance. The search for the crew of two was unsuccessful, it was thought they died when the motor yacht with the homeport Sneek was run over by a yet unknown other ship which, however, was not seen on radar. Debris of the motor boat drifted onto the beach after the accident. The wreck was transferred to a warehouse in Lelystad for further investigation.
