Grounding damage repairs completed
Repairs of the 'Margaret N' have been completed in the shipyard in Tuzla. On June 4, the ship was shifted to Tuzla anchorage, in order to carry out the sea trial performance tests. All surveys and inspections were carried out with satisfactorily results. A new set of trading certificates were issued by the attending classification society and flag state authority. Subsequently, the departure permission was granted and the vessel sailed from Tuzla and arrived at Istanbul anchorage in the morning of June 18 and moored in pos. 40° 58.24' N 028° 55.72' E, waiting for voyage instructions
Ship left repair yard
Repairs of the grounding damage of the 'Margaret N' in Tuzla were getting ahead. The steel replacement has been partially completed at the shipyard. A tightness test was in progress. The main engine, rudder and propeller systems were repaired along with maintenance works. On June 4 the ship left the yard and moored in pos. 40° 49.30' N 029° 13.22' E.
Vehicles carrier still stuck
Salvage efforts at the 'Hoegh Pusan' were continued on April 22. The tugs 'Sark' (MMSI: 271043518) and 'Gemi Kurtaran' (IMO: 8119041) were connected to the stern of the ship. The lifeboat 'Kiyem 3' (MMSI: 271042657) was on site to assist too.
