Cargo ship refloated and underway to Svendborg

Tue Mar 26 10:05:43 CET 2013 Timsen

The "Jago" was refloated in the night of Mar 26 and proceeded to Svendborg with own power for further inspections. It was expected in port during the following foremidday and remained under detention. The anti pollution vessel "Marie Miljø" remained on site during the refloating work, but no oil spill from the ship was detected. The "Susanne A" proceeded to Horsens after the work was completed.

Susanne A to refloat grounded vessel

Mon Mar 25 15:18:13 CET 2013 Timsen

The "Jago" ran aground enroute to Brugge on Mar 22 short after leaving Ærøskøbing at 6 a.m. Several attempts to pull the ship off have failed since. On Mar 23 two smaller tugs unsuccessfully tried to pull the coaster free. The salvage ship "Susanne A" (IMO:9099183) was called from Frederikshavn and has now reached the position in order to undertake another attempt to pull the "Jago" which has meanwhile partially lightered the cargo over board with its own dredger on deck, off the ground. The anti Pollution vessel "Marie Miljø" is on scene and released the Danish patrol boats "Havfruen" and "Diana" which had previously monitored the site.
