Disabled trawler towed to Gonvika

Mon Jun 01 10:24:44 CEST 2015 Timsen

On May 31, 2015, the "Kas Ken - HG 77" was towed into Sandefjord after the propeller got fouled by the net in five meter waves in the Skagerak. The shrimp trawler had alerted Tjøme Radio at 4 p.m. after having been disabled 12 miles off the coast. The Coastguard vessel "Nornen" and the liefboat "Stormbull" were dispatchted to the ship and its crew of four who had struggled to bring up the net, when it turned out that it had jammed the propeller. The trawler was then towed to Sandefjord where the ship was berthed at Gonvika in the night. Here the net had to be cut loose by divers. down to cut loose the memo from the propeller.
