The "Ludwigshafen" saved 128 distressed migrants 80 kilometers NW of Tripolis on Feb 23, 2016, from a rubber boat and recovered one dead body from it which was transferred as well as the castaways, among them nine women and two children, onto the Italian patrol boat "Cigala Fulgosi" which also took on board the remainder on the rubber boat. Ludwigshafen assisted grounded motor yacht

Wed May 14 13:17:02 CEST 2014 Timsen

On May 13, 2014, the "Ludwigshafen" while being enroute to an anchorage off Neustadt, received a mayday call of the motor yacht "Calypso" which had run aground in the Lübeck Bight. The corvette headed eastward and took over the on scene command in coordination with the MRCC Bremen. Also a police boat and a lifeboat from Travemünde attended, but had too much draught to reach the "Calypso". The "Ludwigshafen" launched a speedboat which established a towing connection to the lifeboat which pulled the yacht off and towed it to Travemünde.
