Engine failure in Bosphorus

The 'Annamaria D' suffered an engine failure on March 19, 2022, in front of Poyrazköy, en route from Kocaeli to Constanta. Coastal Safety deployed the tugs 'Kurtarma 8' and 'Kurtarma 10' to assist. Ship traffic in the Bosphorus was suspended in both directions. Disabled freighter under tow to Bremerhaven

The "Annamaria D" was disabled in the night of Apr 19, 2018, in the Northsea off Ijmuiden, while en route from Rotterdam, where she had sailed at 6.40 p.m., to Bremerhaven. The ship was taken in tow in the afternoon of Apr 21 by the German tug "Arion" (IMO: 7726902), to Bremerhaven and berthed at the Columbus Quay on Apr 23 at 3 a.m. The ship left Bremerhaven on May 19 and berthed at the Yard Quay in Bremen at 7 p.m. It finally left the port of Bremen on May 22 at 7.20 p.m., next bound to Izmir, ETA June 5.
