Cooling system trobule in Victoria
The 'Sea Bravery', en route from Vancouver, suffered a problem with its main engine cooling system while approaching the Victoria Pilot Station in Victoria, British Columbia, in position 48 23 00.5 N, 123 17 30.5 W, on Oct 28, 2021, at 7.30 p.m. The bulk carrier subsequently anchored. After the crew carried out repairs, the ship resumed its voyage to Las Ventanas with an ETA as of Nov 17.
Cargo ship boarded by robbers off Chittagong
The "Medi Firenze", while in position lat 22 19 45N, long 091 43 40.2E, at Chittagong anchorage was boarded by eight robbers armed with knives using ropes, which were attached to hooks, on July 3, 2018, at 10 p.m. The robbers took hostage and tied up the duty deck watchman, stole the aft mooring ropes and escaped. The incident was reported to the local agents.
