Grounding on Ouse River

On Feb 2, 2021, at 9.10 a.m. The 'Noordvliet', while en route from Goole to Eemshaven, ran aground after a steering failure in position 53 42 00.0 N, 000 47 30.0 W, on the River Ouse. It was refloated with the rising tide and manoeuvred to Blacktoft using emergency steering. An assessment and then repairs were carried out before the vessel continued its voyage, escorted by two tugs out of the Humber.

Rudder failure in Kiel Canal

During the eastbound transit of the Kiel Canal the "Noordvliet" sufferd a rudder failure on Sep 26, 2018, at 5 p.m. at canal km 31. The ship managed to reach Fischerhütte manoevering only with its bow thrusters and moored in the switch for repairs by the crew. The ship which was enroute from Ceuta to Tornio then resumed the voyage and passed the canal locks in Holtenau towards the Baltic Sea at 11.40 p.m., ETA Tornio Sep 30.
