Ferry evacuation after rope fouled propeller

The "Ofoten" got ropes in the propeller on the way to Bodø on Jan 8, 2016. At 6 p.m. the ferry anchored between Meva and Sørøya in Gildeskål. The 10-15 passengers were evacuated with a lifeboat and transported to Sørvær where they were picked up by the speedboat "Fjord Princess" at 6.45 p.m. The departure at 8 p.m. from Bodø was cancelled and the vessel assisted by the lifeboat to clear the Propulsion from the obstruction. Speed ferry first on scene at blazing vessel

The "Ofoten" assisted a fishing vessel which was on fire in the Meløy Fjord on Apr 20, 2015, at 10 a.m. The speed boat remarked smoke emerging from the ship abd big flames. There was one man in the 70s aboard his boat when it caught fire in the engine room. He saved himself on the shore with the help of a rubber boat. At 11 a.m. the blazing wreck was pulled towards the land but was still alight in the night and in danger of becoming a total loss.
