Vessel boarded by perpetrators

The duty officer of the 'Pacific Heron', being moored in position 08 44 35S, 013 17 12E, at the Luanda outer anchorage, noticed a perpetrator on the vessel's starboard side on Dec 5 at 1.34 a.m. The perpetrator was passing a hose down to another man in a small boat which was alongside the vessel. The duty officer shouted at the perpetrators and then retreated into the crew accommodation area. The perpetrators left the vessel with the stolen hose and escaped in their boat. None of the crew members was injured during the theft.

Offshore ship boarded by perpetrator

Wed May 06 13:26:39 CEST 2020 Timsen

The 'Pacific Heron' which was moored at the Luanda outer anchorage, was boarded by a perpetrator on May 1, 2020, at 12.15 a.m. The watch duty officer reported a suspicious noise in the upper deck. Upon checking, he saw a perpetrator holding a sharp object and was rushing towards him. He alerted other crew members and the alarm was raised. The perpetrator then fled the vessel and escaped in a small motorboat with three other perpetrators. A search of the vessel was conducted. None of the crew members were injured and nothing was stolen.
