Released bulker left Chittagong

According to the shipping agents of the "Joker", the Safe Shipping Lines Ltd, the vessel, upon receiving mandatory permission, sailed from Chittagong Port, with the assistance of the tug "Lanpan" on July 27, destined to Singapore with an ETA as of Aug 9.

Bulker still arrested and waiting

On June 25 the "Joker" was still under arrest and waiting for resolving the litigation and offloading of damaged cargo at the outer anchorage of Chittagong. The tug "Lanpan 27" was on standby ready to tow the vessel from the port after the issues have been resolved.

Discharge of cargo has resumed

Discharging of sound cargo from the cargo holds 1, 2, 3 and 5 of the "Joker" has resumed on May 28. Upon completion of both sound and wet cargo discharge, temporary repairs will be carried out, and then the vessel will be taken to Singapore for permanent repairs. On May 30 the vessel has discharged 24,850 tonnes of soybean including damaged cargo, out of a total of 53,222 tonnes on board. The balance on board was 28,372 tonnes. The "P Russel" offloaded its cargo of 28.125 tons gas oil in Chittagong and sailed to Batam after temporary repairs were made, where it arrived on May 30.
