Viktor Lenac Finalizes Sampson Conversion, delivered late October 2012

Viktor Lenac has recently completed a major conversion contract involving the Heavy Lift Construction vessel Samson, owned by CVI Global Lux Oil and Gas 4 S.A.R.L., which has had a pipe-laying capability installed. Sampson to be converted to crane and pipelay vessel

Viktor Lenac Shipyard in Rijeka has been recently awarded a contract for the conversion of Sampson, managed by V Ships and Zafiro Marine, by Carval Investors, a leading investment manager. Sampson will be converted into a crane and pipelay vessel. Six new diesel generators (2,200kW each) will be installed in two independent engine rooms. New ship systems will be installed with more than 40 tonnes of piping. Two new thrusters will be installed. Read further at http://www.oilpubs.com/oso/article.asp?v1=11194
