Technical failure at Mersin

The 'Fuji Lava' suffered a technical failure at Mersin in the morning of Aug 26, 2021. The vessel's departure permission was cancelled by the Harbour Master until the completion of repairs and an inspection by state surveyors. The ship left Mersin on Aug 27 at 4.35 a.m.

Engine trouble off British coast

The "Stolt Fuji" sustained main engine and fuel blockage in position 50 17 11 N 01 05 29 W 25 on Jan 25, 2018, being 26,04 nautical miles from Newport(IOW), en route from Rotterdam to Mohammedia. The ship was drifting at a speed of 2.9 knots, due to an issues with main engine which is still unidentified, unrtil the damage was rectified the same day and the tanker resumed its voyage. The ship was carrying a cargo of Bitumen IMO class 9 UN 3257 and 4753.6 metric tonnes of quantity and apparently carrying 149 metric tonnes of heavy fuel oil and 98 metric tonnes of gas oil.
