Fire in Tuzla

A fire broke out in the engine room of the 'T-Mare' at the Torgem Shipyard in Tuzla on Nov 26, 2021, where the ship was berthed for repair and maintenance. The fire brigade of the shipyard immediately intervened. The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department also came to the scene. With the help of the fire fighters, the fire was brought under control. The cooling works on the ship continued. Grounding near Bimini

The "Stadt Hannover" carrying rolls of newsprint for The Nassau Guardian and The Tribune has run aground near Bimini on Mar 2, 2010, about 17 miles north of its destination Nassau where it was expected on May 3. The "Stadt Hannover" is under charter by Crowley from its German owner/operators. Currently, the vessel has 66 containers onboard, and all of the various customers affected have been notified of the situation. While the ship remained stranded near Bimini, Crowley has already chartered another vessel on a short term basis to accommodate its other clients.
