Fire on tank barge in Rotterdam

In the drydock of a yard at the East Dike in Rotterdam/Bolnes a fire broke out in the engine room of the "Theodoor", 1273 ts (EU-No.: 04012100), during maintenance work on May 9, 2016, at 6.30 p.m. The fire caused dense smoke development. The fire rescue was on scene with several engines and a fire boat. An expert team of the SSB for fire fighting was deployed too. Two smoke divers entered the engine room. An ambulance was on stand by as a precaution, but no one was injured.
