Thu Oct 22 10:22:37 CEST 2020 Timsen

The 'Messila', which had run aground off Tilos on Aug 27, has been granted a single voyage departure permission from Tilos Island to Haydarpasa. During the transit of the Canakkale Strait, a Coastal Safety tug and a pilot provided escort service for the vessel and traffic safety. Upon the completion of the cargo discharge operations, the vessel was shifted from Haydarpasa to the Tuzla shipyard area. The vessel entered the shipyard on Oct 11. A damage survey and marking of the damaged location was carried out. The replacement of steel on the damaged and deformed locations was under progress by the shipyard teams as of Oct 22.
