Piston ring broke off Newhaven

The 'Transocean', en route from Hamburg to Veracruz with 21 crew members and a cargo of 18.300 tonnes of ammonium sulphate on board, suffered a broken piston ring and advised it would take between 12 to 16 hours to repair the damage off Newhaven in position 50 45 21.4 N, 000 01 22.1 E on March 8, 2022, at 2.25 p.m. The repairs have been completed on March 9 at 3 p.m., and the ship continued its voyage with an ETA as of March 30.

Grounded bulkcarrier refloated

The "Universal Dream" which had run aground end of May was refloated June 18, 2017, and arrived on Bintulu Anchorage on June 19. The condition of the vessel and the furhter intentions were actually unknown. The bulkcarrier was en route from Australia to Korea in the South China Sea when it ran aground in position 02 26N 109 00E, off the Southern coast of Pulau Serasan island. The ship was loaded with sinter.
